San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette are being investigated for possible sexual misconduct in Miami, police said Thursday.
No one has been been arrested or charged, and neither the Seahawks nor the 49ers have talked in detail about the incident.
About 9:40 p.m. April 3, a woman went to the front desk of a Miami police station to file a report, saying a suspicious incident occurred in the Brickell neighborhood.
The woman, whose age was redacted in the police report, said that two days prior she went to an apartment at 485 Brickell Avenue. The apartment belongs to Lockette, according to the police report.
Police were told Kaepernick and Patton were at the apartment.
“They talked for a while and she mixed some drinks for all of them and gave them shots,” according to the incident report. “(She) advised that they told her that in order to drink the shots she had to ‘hit’ the bong which contained marijuana.”
The group watched a basketball game until the woman felt light-headed and went to a bedroom to lie down, according to her account.
“Mr. Kaepernick came behind her into the bedroom and started kissing her,” Officer Walter Sarrafiore wrote in his report. “She advised that they were kissing (mouth) and Mr. Kaepernick started to undress her. She got completely naked. Mr. Kaepernick told her that he was going to be right back and left the bedroom. They did not have sex.”
The woman told police she was in bed naked when Patton and Lockette opened the door and peeked inside. She asked where Kaepernick was and told them to get out.
"She cannot remember anything after that,” Sarrafiore wrote in the police report.
The woman “woke in a hospital bed and doesn’t remember how she got there or who transported her to the hospital,” according to the report. The Miami Herald, citing sources, reported that the woman underwent a rape test. But Miami police told KIRO 7 that was not correct.
The police incident report said the woman has had a sexual relationship with Kaepernick in the past.

Kaepernick responded to the allegations Friday. "The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong," he wrote on Twitter. "They make things up about me that never happened. I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up. I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced."
