SEATTLE — Seattle residents are days away from facing warnings from the city for mixing their food with their other trash.
Starting Jan. 1, food scraps, including pizza boxes, paper towels and napkins, must be placed in food and yard waste containers.
Violators will be fined $1 after a six-month grace period. Some landlords face a $50 fine.
