LONGVIEW, Wash. — There is anger and revulsion in the Longview community surrounding accusations that a funeral home employee fondled the body of a dead young woman.
The man's coworker said she saw him touch Lakisha Judge inappropriately after the 26-year-old died from complications related to a birth defect.
"I mean, she came into the world in distress and suffering. For her to die and to have somebody violate her in death is just horrifying," said Judge’s mother, Teresa Brunelle.
Judge's mother is suing, and Columbia Funeral Services is being investigated by the state Department of Licensing.
Police also looked into the complaint but said they could not find enough evidence that a crime occurred.
