As she tried to cross northbound MLK Jr. Way in a marked crosswalk, the driver of a Toyota Prius heading north hit the woman, officers said. The Prius driver told officers the light was green.

As the victim was lying in the street, she was run over by a Cadillac Escalade. The driver of the Escalade fled the scene before police arrived.

The driver of the Prius, who stopped and checked on the victim, showed no signs of impairment, according to officers. He also provided a preliminary breath test that registered as 0.00.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and immediately went into surgery.

Her condition is not known.
