A well-known white supremacist was shot and killed after a confrontation with a deputy early Wednesday in Tacoma, investigators said.
The man, 21, was suspected of killing an African-American man, 23, in a nearby apartment complex.
The homicide was at the Woodmark Apartments at 2425 96th Street South in Tacoma. Investigators believe this stemmed from a drug deal.
The suspect was later found at the Drake Apartments at 2220 97th Street South. That’s where he was fatally shot by a deputy.
Investigators are looking into whether the 21-year-old shooting the 23-year-old was because of race.
