A man helping his girlfriend with her disabled car was hit and killed on I-90 near State Route 18 east of Issaquah overnight.
The crash happened at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

There were three vehicles involved.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a woman's car broke down but she was able to get to the right shoulder. She had a child in the car with her.
Her boyfriend came to help them.

While the woman’s boyfriend was out of the car, state troopers say a man driving another vehicle sideswiped the woman's car and hit her boyfriend, killing him.
The woman and child were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The driver that troopers say hit and killed the man was arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide. He's also under investigation for driving under the influence.
Two lanes were closed for several hours for the investigation, but the crash scene has since been cleared.
