BELLEVUE, Wash. — Tuesday morning, the City of Bellevue celebrated the opening of its new bike lanes that run the length of downtown.
The lanes run along 108th Avenue and are already open for bicyclists to use.
The city has added lane dividers, planter boxes and the green pavement markers.
The city says the goal is both safety and making people feel more comfortable biking through the busy area.
The new bike lanes connect the I-90 trail, which is south of downtown, to the 520 trail to the north.
