One dead in Kirkland crash

KIRKLAND — Part of a Kirkland street is blocked for a deadly crash investigation Monday morning.

Northeast 124th Street is closed at the crash scene at Willow Road. It is expected to be closed for several hours.

Only one vehicle is involved.  The driver was killed.

Video from the scene showed the car wrapped around a power pole.

A crew must cut power to the pole before police can begin their investigation.

Looking at the severity of the wreck, speed was an obvious factor in the crash.

It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were involved.
