KIRKLAND, Wash. — More than a dozen people were displaced by an early morning apartment fire that broke out in Kirkland Tuesday.
Kirkland fire was called to the Westview Apartments on Northeast 68th Street near 108th Avenue Northeast at 3:30 a.m.
Flames were visible in the two-story building when crews arrived.
Firefighters searched the units to make sure everyone is out and no injuries were reported, according to firefighters at the scene.
The fire burned the first and second floors and the attic. Fire officials say it’s too early to determine how the fire started.
Some units have fire damage while others have smoke and water damage.
Fire officials say the fire appears to have started on the outside of one of the lower units in the back of the building, but the official cause is still under investigation, There is no word yet if fire is considered to be suspicious.
