SEATTLE — An Everett firefighter was arrested in Seattle Wednesday as part of an underage prostitution sting, police said.

David Peter Vier is a firefighter and paramedic with the Everett Fire Department, according to a city spokesperson. Vier met who he thought was an underage prostitute but was actually an undercover detective, police said.

Detectives had exchanged text messaged with Vier and he agreed to meet for sex. He showed up to a West Seattle location with condoms, sex toys and lubricant.

He was arrested and booked into King County Jail on charges of exploitation of a child and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.

The city spokesperson said 60-year-old Vier has been with the department since 1991. He's been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
