The Everett School District is encouraging parents to use an app that displays a map of school bus routes and estimates their arrival time for each stop.
The app is called My Stop.
School officials hope that the app will help students get to school on time and help parents know where their child’s bus is on its route. The app does not share specific students’ locations.
Families with students attending Everett schools can download the app onto their smartphones, tablets or home computers for free. A link to download the app is posted on the district's website.
Users can choose between an aerial view or a road maps view of the current locations of buses. The app can also send texts to users when a bus is going to be delayed.
