Local company announces its new Security Operations Center

SEATTLE — Social Security numbers.  Photos.  Addresses.  Most people and companies now store personal information in the cloud.

On Thursday, F5 Networks announced its new Security Operations Center, which provides 24/7 global cloud security.  “Our mission is to try to help our customers block cybersecurity attacks, and force the fraudsters to go someplace else,” Jerry Stalick, vice president of security operations at F5 Networks told KIRO 7.

Data breaches at Target, Home Depot, and Premera show just how vulnerable our personal information can be.

Seattle-based F5 Networks has been providing comprehensive IT applications and services  -- including hardware and security --- for nearly 20-years.  With the opening of the new Security Operations Center, that work expands to 24/7 cloud coverage.

"We are able to detect attacks in the cloud before they arrive at our customer's site, and block those attacks further away from the destination," Stalick said.
