Fight among Casey Kasem's family extends to his burial

Casey Kasem, the smooth-voiced radio broadcaster who became the king of the top 40 countdown, died at age 82.

SEATTLE — The fight among Casey Kasem's family members has extended to his burial.

A spokesman for Kasem's daughter said the radio icon still hasn't been buried a month after his death at a Gig Harbor hospital.

Kasem's wife, Jean Kasem, has the rights to his body, but has yet to retrieve it from a Tacoma funeral home.

Hospital spokesman Scott Thompson with St. Anthony Hospital said Kasem's wife collected his remains from the hospital after he died, but Thompson did not know what arrangements she made.

Kasem's daughter from his first marriage, Kerri Kasem, wants to bury her father at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, California, as he wished.
