TACOMA, Wash. — Crews in Tacoma fought a fire burning in a scrap metal pile on Wednesday afternoon.
Traffic was reduced to one lane in each direction at 1900 Marine View Drive near the scrapyard at Schnitzer Steel.
A big plume of black smoke was coming out of the pile of trash and recycling material.
Firefighters used their ladder truck to pour water over the fire.
