A fire on Mercer Island left one home with extensive structural damage.
MERCER ISLAND, Wash. — Officials said when they arrived at the house, fire had already crawled up the back side of the structure.
Flames were within the attic.
All five people who were inside the home were able to make it out safely.
Fire officials said it appears the fire started from an ember near a gazebo in the backyard.
Damage to the home was extensive.
