Four new red light cameras put in place in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Starting Thursday, four new red light cameras will be watching drivers in Bellevue.

The cameras are on Northeast Eighth Street at 112th Avenue and 116th.

There will also be a new camera at Sunset Elementary to improve safety in the school zone.

Those caught running a red light will receive a ticket for $124.

There's been a 47 percent drop in crashes where the cameras are located.
