KENT, Wash. — A Kent police officer on a motorcycle was injured in a crash in the 900 block of North Central Avenue at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday.
When authorities arrived, they found the officer off his motorcycle, conscious and laying on the roadway.
Medics took the officer to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown.
Police said the officer was responding to a dispatched call. As he moved left to avoid traffic, he entered the center turn lane and struck the median and the officer was ejected from his motorcycle.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
