May 16, 2012 — KIRO 7's Angela Russell emceed the Washington Women's Employment and Education's King County Benefit Breakfast at the Emerald Downs in Auburn.
About 300 attendees joined Angela and WWEE, raising nearly $63,000. Donations go directly towards supporting WWEE's programs that provide job, housing and support service assistance to low-income residents in King County.
With Angela's energy and excitement, the organization's 30th year anniversary rang in nicely with the success of the event.
"Having the support of Angela and KIRO 7 has been amazing for WWEE's recognition in the community and the overall delivery of the program's message," said Amy Kostelecky-Roe, Special Events Manager at WWEE. "Angela's honest enthusiasm wakes people up with smiles on their faces and generosity in their hearts. Each event has been more successful than the last since Angela has been involved. We love working with her."
