SNOHOMISH, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is investigating two armed robberies that happened within minutes of each other early Wednesday.

The first happened at a 76 gas station in the 16500 block of SR 9 at about 2:40 a.m. Wednesday.

The clerk was hit in the head and had minor injuries.

About 10 minutes later, a Shell station in the 91200 block of Paradise Lake Road and SR-522 said several men entered the store and demanded cash from the register.

The owner of the store said he was in the back of the store when it happened.

“I was in the back cooking and the guy comes with a covered face and a gun,” said Ujagar Singh.

Singh told KIRO 7 that during the robbery, he was pushed to the ground and a gun was held to his head.

The robbers, who were in the store about two minutes, got away with cash.

The owner of the Shell store was not hurt.

It is not yet known if the same suspects are responsible for both robberies.
