BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — Deputies are investigating after a speed boat with four people on board capsized on the Pend Oreille River, leaving one dead and the others missing.
The incident occurred Tuesday at about 7 p.m. near Thama, Idaho, the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The sheriff’s office said its marine division and dive team recovered one person’s body.
Multiple agencies helped search for the remaining victims but they were not found. The boat was pulled from the water.
Authorities said the river depth in that area is 94 feet.
The names and ages of those on board have yet to be released.
