AUBURN, Wash. — One person is dead after a crash involving a semi-truck on West Valley Highway, the Auburn Police Department announced.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a fatal crash at 4:15 p.m.
Two cars were headed north on West Valley Highway when the second car tried to pass the first. As it was passing, a semi-truck was pulling out of a driveway on the east side of the road turning south, police said.
One person was confirmed dead at the scene. The road is closed between 15th Street Northwest and 37th Street Northwest as crews investigate.
