A teenager was killed in a shooting in Federal Way early Tuesday, police said.
Officers responded to an apartment in the 30000 block of 46th Place Southwest at about 12:10 a.m. They found a 14-year-old boy inside deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Loved ones identified the teen who was killed as Alex Gonzales. He lived in the condo with his parents.
The boy was with another 14-year-old boy at the time of the shooting, and police are looking for him now. The other people inside the apartment at the time are uninjured and cooperating with police.
It appears that the shooting may have resulted from mishandling of a firearm, police said.
Police are still investigating. They are working to track down where they got the gun, It was not registered to anyone inside the home.
