FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — One person is dead and others were injured in a multi-car collision on northbound Interstate 5 near 304th Street in Federal Way on Sunday.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said the collision involved three cars, two of which left the freeway and crashed onto Military Road below.
One driver sideswiped a vehicle, causing the second vehicle to hit a third car, Johnson said.
Johnson said the first car went off I-5 and the driver died after being ejected.
The other car that went off the interstate landed on its top, but the people inside only suffered minor injuries.
Those in the third vehicle suffered minor injuries as well, the trooper said.
The crash blocked one lane of northbound I-5 but it has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
