KING COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies are investigating after an employee at a spa was shot during an attempted robbery Thursday night in the Skyway area of unincorporated King County.
Authorities said the incident happened at South Bay Massage and Spa, which is located in the 12400 block of Renton Avenue South, around 10 p.m.
The victim, a man of Asian descent, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.
Law enforcement said they want to make it clear that there is no indication of a hate crime and it appeared to be an attempted robbery.
Deputies are looking for two suspects and have no description of them yet.
Dogs were brought in to try and track them down, but were unsuccessful.
King County Sheriff's Office tells me they don't want to undermine this shooting at an Asian spa south of Seattle. But also don't want to unnecessarily stoke fears.
