ENUMCLAW, Wash. — One woman was rescued and another is dead after they went into the Green River Gorge on Saturday, the King County Sheriff’s Office said.
Around 10:30 a.m., three women went hiking along the Green River in Enumclaw.

A 20-year-old woman fell into the water. Officials said her friend tried to rescue her and ended up floating further down the river and was able to get out by herself.
The 20-year-old who fell in originally was later found dead in the river by rescue officials, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
