Twelve people were arrested and two cars were impounded after protesters blocked I-5 in Seattle on Monday afternoon, Washington State Patrol said.
The incident began around 12:30 p.m. near James Street. The group got onto the freeway and blocked the collector-distributor lanes near downtown.
The NB I-5 collector-distributor is closed due to police activity. This is backing up NB 5 past I-90; think about alternatives.
