13-year-old boy reported missing in Lynnwood found safe

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — The 13-year-old boy who was reported as a missing runaway in Lynnwood this week has been found safely.

He was last seen near the south garage at Alderwood Mall with another unknown male who was possibly a school friend on Wednesday, June 12.

There was extra concern for his whereabouts as he is a type 1 diabetic.

According to Lynnwood police, they tried to ping his phone unsuccessfully before asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to please call 911.

He was reported to have been found safely around 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 14.

Lynnwood police thanked everyone who helped spread the word to find the missing teen.
