SEATTLE, Wash. — 14 people were arrested on a single day in the city’s Chinatown-International District.
It happened during a sweep of the area on Wednesday.
The Seattle Police Department says it focused on the area of 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street.
In three hours, officers caught three people with nearly 90 grams of meth and fentanyl on them.
A butterfly knife was also seized during the arrests.
12th and Jackson has become a problem area for the city.
Last month, it was the site of a mass stabbing; 10 people were hurt in two days.
Earlier this week, King County Metro shut down bus stops at the intersection because of safety concerns.
In 2022, police shut down an open-air drug market in the area and had a mobile precinct sanctioned in the area for months.
