Approximately 15 collisions shut down westbound I-90 at milepost 38 near North Bend on this snowy Saturday in Western Washington.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said three of the collisions were rollovers.
One trooper’s vehicle was hit twice and another once, Johnson said.
Authorities said three people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and one of the troopers was taken to the hospital with a minor injury.
Troopers requested 13 tow trucks to help clear the mess.
The incident was just one of several on I-90.
Several other collisions on the highway blocked lanes, closing westbound I-90 between milepost 56 near Snoqualmie Summit and milepost 106 near Ellensburg. It has since reopened.
Not much later, westbound I-90 near North Bend was reopened to traffic.
