KENT, Wash. — Two people are dead after Kent police were called Wednesday afternoon to a report of a shooting and found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds.
Officers responded to the 23400 block of 104th Avenue Southeast about 1:45 p.m., law enforcement officials said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman lying on the ground and a man nearby with a gun in his hand.
Police said the woman was unresponsive and lifesaving measures were performed but she died at the scene.
Lifesaving measures were also performed on the unresponsive man, officials said. He died at the scene.
Police said they believe no others were involved in the shooting.
Police are interviewing witnesses to figure out what led up to the incident.
