TACOMA, Wash. — A driver and one of his passengers died in a crash Friday night in Tacoma, police said.
Police were called after 7 p.m. to the 3600 block of South 74th Street for a single-car crash.
Police said the male driver and a female passenger were killed in the crash, but a man in the back seat survived.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
South 74th Street was shut down between South Tacoma Way and South Tyler Street for several hours while police investigated.
Police did not say what caused the crash but said speed appeared to contribute to the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
