THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — A motorcyclist and their passenger were injured in a collision involving three vehicles on State Route 8 in Thurston County.
The crash occurred at 5:20 p.m. Saturday on eastbound SR 8 at Winslow Drive.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Ryan Burke said the motorcyclist suffered multiple broken bones and was airlifted to the hospital in critical but stable condition. The passenger suffered a broken arm.
The motorcyclist was reportedly seen traveling at a high rate of speed just before the crash.
The motorcycle landed in the bed of a truck, authorities said.
No one in the vehicles was injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
