SEATTLE — Two people were injured Sunday during a fire at a building that houses seniors in Seattle’s Ballard area.
Firefighters were called after 4:30 p.m. to the 2400 block of Northwest 57th Street.
The two people who were injured were able to escape from the building.
Officials said a man was taken to the hospital in stable condition. However, the extent of his injuries was not immediately made available.
The American Red Cross was called to assist those displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
