I-5 at Ship Canal Bridge briefly blocked for emergency deck repairs

SEATTLE — The two right lanes of northbound I-5 at the Ship Canal Bridge were briefly blocked Thursday for emergency repairs.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, crews were working on deck repairs with no initial estimate for when they might finish. That work was finished and lanes were reopened roughly an hour later.

Traffic in the area is also clearing, but some residual backups could remain.
