SEATTLE — King County Executive Dow Constantine announced the final three candidates in the search for a new King County sheriff.
The finalists include the current interim sheriff, Patti Cole-Tindall.
The other two candidates are Charles Kimble, chief of police in Killeen, Texas; and Reginald Moorman, a major in the Atlanta Police Department.
Constantine said 12 candidates submitted applications in the nationwide search, which began in November 2021.
Of those 12, seven candidates completed a first round of interviews, and three finalists were selected.
The candidates will now meet with King County employees and the public in a series of forums before a final interview with Constantine.
Constantine said in a news release that the finalists are highly qualified and that he was eager to hear from the public.
