Interim Police Chief Adrian Diaz already suspended two other officers who were found to have attended the pro-Trump rally in D.C., pending a full investigation. Diaz said he would fire anyone who was found to be involved with the riot.
“We cannot allow violent or intimidating direct action to become acceptable in our society. If any SPD employee participated directly in assaulting the Capitol, I will terminate them,” Diaz stated again Wednesday.
