Nearly 400 at-risk dogs and cats from Tennessee were flown to the northwest on Valentines Day so the animals could have forever homes.
Wings of Rescue is an alternative to a traditional shelter system. The organization has saved more than 20,000 animal lives.
During Tuesday's journey, hundreds of animals were safely airlifted from the Memphis area to the Seattle area. Animals will be transferred to shelters in Seattle, Everett and Spokane.
KIRO 7 News reached out to Wings of Rescue to learn which shelters in Washington state will get these animals that will be up for adoption. They will send us that list sometime on Tuesday.
In a Facebook Live, people who were on the tarmac for Wings of Rescue were sorting animal kennels to go to PAWS in Western Washington, Seattle Humane, Seattle Animal Shelter and a location in Skagit.
