The future of television starts with apps.

With Apple TV, it's easy to breeze through the App Store with the Siri Remote and Touch surface. With all the games and apps to navigate through, it can become a bit overwhelming to decide what to download. Below are some tips on apps to check out:

1. KIRO 7 News (free)

Of course, we have to start with this one! Now, it's easier than ever to watch our live newscast FREE on your Apple TV with the KIRO 7 News app. And if you missed us, you can also catch the recorded newscast when we are not live.

2. CBS All Access

You can watch 24/7 digital streaming news, as well as on demand video from CBS's awarding winning news programs such as CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes, 48 Hours and more. Sign up for a one-week free trial in the Apple store.

3. Zova – Personal Trainer (free)

You don't need a gym membership or equipment to be able to exercise. With Zova, you can get personalized workouts straight to your TV whenever you want. This app has workouts for specific areas (abs, legs, core, etc.) as well as full-body workouts.

4. Kitchen Stories (free)

If you're hungry after all those work-outs, you'll want to check out Kitchen Stories' recipes and step-by-step photo instructions. This app's how-to videos will make cooking a breeze!
