The 5th Avenue Theatre canceled its Sunday matinee performance of "Annie" after discovering threatening language posted on a former employee's social media account. Theater guests were immediately informed of the change.
Theater managers called police at around 1 p.m. to report the threat. Staff at the theater advised management that the threats created an environment of fear, and management decided to cancel the showing.
Seattle police will remain on-site for the evening performance and are currently actively investigating the threat.
