BELLEVUE, Wash. — Bellevue police used a drone, dogs and searchers to find a man with Alzheimer’s disease who walked away from his home on Monday morning.
Scott Huntoon, 69, left his home in the 17000 block of Northeast Fifth Place, near 164th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth in Northeast Bellevue, before 8 a.m.
Officers searched the city overnight but he was not found. On Tuesday, officers and members of King County Search and Rescue searched parks using a drone and three search dogs.
Shortly after noon on Tuesday, Bellevue police tweeted that Huntoon, who has mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease, had been found.
He is being evaluated by medics.
