SEATTLE — Seven people were arrested and drugs were seized Wednesday at a homeless encampment in Seattle after a warrant was served, police said.
Police said officers seized 19 grams of crack cocaine from a multiroom tent at the Dearborn Street encampment, which is located between the freeway ramps of Interstate 90 and I-5.

Investigators found there were people selling cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine at the encampment and they had set up a waiting room for customers inside a sectioned-off area in the tent, officials said.
Police said there was also an area in the tent where recently purchased drugs could be used.
Over the past week, officers have responded to several reports of gunfire in that area, police said.
