8 hurt after Metro Transit bus rear ended by semi-truck

SEATTLE — Eight people have minor injuries after a Metro Transit bus was involved in a crash on northbound I-5.

The crash happened near Michigan Street in South Seattle at 9:15 a.m. Friday.

Metro said a route 150 bus was rear-ended by a semi-truck. A Metro spokesperson said there were reports of 14 people hurt, but Seattle fire said 11 people were evaluated but only eight were transported area hospitals.

All are in "very stable" condition, according to Seattle fire.

The nature of the injuries were neck and back.

Both vehicles were still able to drive and were able to move to the shoulder.

No major damage could be seen from the view of a camera on Chopper 7.
