Aberdeen drug bust leads to four arrests, fentanyl and meth seized

The Grays Harbor Drug Task Force (GHDTF) arrested multiple suspects and seized drugs, cash, and a vehicle during a search warrant operation on December 16, following a two-month investigation in Aberdeen.

Officers served the warrant at an apartment in the 2300 block of Simpson Avenue. The primary suspect, a 54-year-old Aberdeen man, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail.

During the operation, several additional arrests were made:

  • A 60-year-old Aberdeen man was taken into custody on an outstanding Hoquiam warrant for third-degree theft. During the arrest, officers found 11.5 grams of suspected fentanyl powder and $5,350 in cash. He was initially booked into the Hoquiam Municipal Jail and will later face charges for possession with intent to deliver.
  • A 30-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested on an extraditable warrant out of Arkansas. He was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail and will be transferred to Arkansas authorities.
  • A 53-year-old Aberdeen woman was found with approximately 1.5 grams of suspected fentanyl powder and 7.5 grams of methamphetamine. She was cited and later released.
  • A 37-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested on a Grays Harbor County felony warrant for second-degree assault and transported to the county jail.

During the search of the apartment, officers also seized 4.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 12.5 grams of an unknown substance, and numerous items related to drug use and sales. A vehicle believed to have been used to transport illegal drugs was also seized.

The Hoquiam Police Department’s Narcotics K-9 team assisted with the search, and officers from the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, Aberdeen Police Department, and Hoquiam Police Department supported the GHDTF. Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
