Aberdeen officers arrested a suspect who fled the scene of a crash last month.
On Aug. 23, officers responded to a hit-and-run in the area of B Street and Randle.
Police said the victim told officers the suspected driver fled in a green SUV. Another witness told police the suspect vehicle came out of the 7-Eleven parking lot and sped around him while going 50 mph and struck another vehicle.
Officers responded after a report of the suspect vehicle parked at Twin Star Credit Union.
Police said the driver told officers that his brakes were not working well and admitted to hitting the parked vehicle.
Officers noted the driver was not acting right and he told officers he had a chemo treatment for his cancer.
The suspect was cited and released from the Aberdeen City Jail.
