EVERETT, Wash. — Alaska Airlines announced it is making more cuts to its operations, this time at Everett’s Paine Field.
The cuts are in response to the decline in travel related to the coronavirus pandemic and federal restrictions.
Starting Friday, the airline will stop flights to six destinations from Paine Field, according to a Puget Sound Business Journal report.
In the report, a spokesperson for the airline said it will continue to provide four destinations from the new terminal at Paine Field after its reduction plan starts April 10.
United Airlines also cut service leaving from Paine field.
Before the pandemic, the passenger terminal at Paine Field was among the top 100 busiest airports in the nation, according to the PSBJ.
