Alaska Airlines pilot gets engaged during 2018 Seattle Pride Parade

SEATTLE — Hundreds of thousands of people in Seattle took to the streets to celebrate the 44th annual Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday.

This year's theme was "Pride Beyond Borders" and the weekend's events gave Seattleites the opportunity to celebrate equality and pride.

But for one Alaska Airlines pilot, this year's celebration will be remembered for more than just the parade.

While on the Alaska Airlines float, Alaska Airlines pilot Lue Morton and his partner got engaged.

Alaska Airlines shared the moment on their Twitter account and offered a congratulatory message to the happy couple:

KIRO 7 livestreamed the 2018 Seattle Pride Parade -- the second largest event of its kind in the United States -- on Sunday.
