Alaska Airlines unveils Seattle Mariners-themed plane

SEATAC, Wash. — Alaska Airlines unveiled a specially-marked Boeing 737-800, featuring the Seattle Mariners logo and a 40th anniversary design across the fuselage.

Mariners fans and passengers on flight 506 to Orange County celebrated at the gate at Sea-Tac Airport Wednesday morning.

The gate area featured decorations, snacks, music and the Mariners Moose was expected to make an appearance.

Brad Tilden, Alaska Airlines CEO, and Kevin Mather, president of the Mariners attended.

Tilden will also throw out the first pitch at the home game later Wednesday.
