BELLEVUE — Two separate incidents involving semi-truck rollovers shutdown both directions of SR 520 on Thursday.
All lanes of westbound SR 520 along the floating bridge in Bellevue were closed, as crews worked to clear the overturned cement truck off the roadway.
The closure, which began around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, spanned 92nd Avenue Northeast to Montlake Boulevard, which caused a backup of over five miles. The pedestrian bike path on the SR 520 bridge at Evergreen Point Way was also closed.
A separate collision blocked the left lane on eastbound SR 520 east of Montlake Boulevard in Seattle as well.
Washington State Patrol warned that “this will be a lengthy closure,” and is advising that drivers avoid the area until further notice.

At about 2:30 p.m., a second truck, a concrete truck, flipped over, blocking all lanes of traffic, including the bike and pedestrian path.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver of the truck swerved to avoid a windblown garbage can, hit the barrier and subsequently rolled.
THIRD UPDATE: The westbound SR 520 on-ramp from Montlake Boulevard has reopened. WB SR 520 from there is open to I-5, EB closed.
