TACOMA, Wash. — Michelle Webb told KIRO 7 she doesn’t remember how she ended up at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital.

"They were like, ‘Do you know what day it is?’” said Webb. “I didn't know what day it was, what year it was.”

Webb spoke with KIRO 7 from her hospital bed several days after the mother of five and grandmother said she woke up from a nearly two-week medically induced coma.

Pierce County deputies said Webb’s estranged husband, Christopher Walker, used his car to T-bone hers at nearly 50 mph in Parkland on December 30.

"They say it's a miracle that I'm even up right now,” said Webb. “They didn't think I was going to make it."

The force of the crash caused Walker’s car to flip and crash into a family’s bathroom. Both were trapped and had to be rescued, according to deputies.

"The transmission of her car was in her liver,” said Webb’s friend Tiffany White, who also spoke with KIRO 7 inside the hospital room. “It’s hard because I see her in so much pain.”

Webb said she suffered a liver laceration, pulmonary contusion as well spinal, rib, pelvic and clavicle fractures. She said she may not walk again for at least six weeks.

Investigators say Walker rammed Michelle three days after a judge granted her a temporary domestic violence protection order.

"I said, ‘He's going to kill me,’” said Webb.

Moments before the collision, charging papers state Webb and Walker, who got married last year, ran into each other at his mom’s apartment and were told to leave once they started arguing.

White said her friend didn’t know Walker would show up.

KIRO 7 was in court as Walker, who was treated at a hospital and booked into jail, made an appearance on New Year’s Eve.

Walker made an obscene gesture to news cameras and then launched into a profanity-laced tirade when Pierce County Superior Court commissioner Meghan Foley told him he was ordered to stay away from his mother's home.

Walker remains jailed and is now facing several criminal charges including assault and violating a domestic violence protection order.

"I’m grateful just to be alive today,” said Webb, who said tells KIRO 7 she’s still in fear of her estranged husband.

"If he gets out of jail, he's going to kill me,” said Webb.

If convicted, Walker would receive his third strike, which could mean life in prison without parole or release.
