Animal rescue desperate to find foster for dog who has never had one

CONNELL, Wash. — An Eastern Washington animal rescue is desperately searching for a foster family for a dog who has never had one.

Winchester was found as a stray and has been at the rescue for more than a year and a half. He’s lived in four boarding kennels and has never been taken to a proper home.

Officials with Red Waggin’ Rescue, located in the City of Connell, say he’s a “bit of a Velcro dog” after missing out on so much human interaction, and would do best with someone in a house working from home.

They are hoping someone steps up to give him his “first chance” at home life.

Winchester enjoys long walks and play sessions. He’s “an active guy” and would be a “great running and hiking buddy.”
